Electronics Manufacturing Technician

JOB SUMMARY

  • Electrical Controls Technician will assist in all aspects of the product evolution. Supporting the design phase by building products and testing them, assisting in the transition into manufacturing and then supporting the product deployment through the in-field commissioning and on-going service.

TASKS/DUTIES

  • Hands-on Service & Support to develop, implement and service all aspects of product delivery and service, including:
  • Supporting the build of test equipment and product by laying out and installing conduits, cable trays, connectors, cables and wires between panels & equipment
  • Supporting the system controls program development
  • Reading and interpreting, circuit diagrams, drawings and electrical code specification to plan wiring layouts and provide feedback in regards to improvements and controls
  • Field install, test and maintain electrical and control wiring, equipment, PLC program, system commissioning and maintenance
  • Install new control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS


  • Completed a post-secondary diploma or specialized course in a related field to controls, electrical, electronics, automation or equivalent experience and demonstrated ability and accomplishments.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with electrical, automation, process equipment installation, wiring, commissioning and service.
